‘Pride And Prejudice And Zombies’ and Corsets in New Photos from the Upcoming Film

We’ll likely be seeing more of Burr Steers’ adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s mash-up novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies at Comic-Con next week, but EW is teasing photos from the upcoming period horror film now, testing our love of corsets and the undead. Blending the classic Jane Austen novel with flesh-eating creeps, Steers will be playing it straight instead of ramping up the genre element. “The idea was that it was Pride and Prejudice set in this alternate world and then for everyone to play it straight. The movie’s big wink is that there is no big wink. It’s definitely not camp,” he told EW. Sounds like a certain Lifetime movie. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which hits theaters on February 5, 2016, features Game of Thrones stars Charles Dance as “the kindly family patriarch” and Lena Headey “as a famed eye-patch-sporting warrior,” along with Lily James, Bella Heathcote, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Matt Smith, and Douglas Booth.
