Multiple J. Coles join Janet Jackson in the sensual, insomniac daze of her new video for her single “No Sleeep,” off her forthcoming 11th studio album.
Here, Janet Jackson deems herself an “insomnia queen,” coyly smiling her way through a modern mansion. The moody video also sees Jackson reminiscing, with images from her childhood illuminated on the house’s walls. A meta-sequence films her looking through a spyglass and creates an illusion of a Janet-infininity, shortly before J. Cole and his dopplegängers rap and lounge around the house, converting the familiar track into an even better mix. “No Sleeep” just got a whole lot chiller.
