Alexander Skarsgård’s Abs to Save Margot Robbie’s Jane in New ‘Tarzan’ Epic

“Tarzan love Jane,” says Alexander Skarsgård to Margot Robbie’s Jane, in next year’s big budget Tarzan flick. Jane’s likely response? “Jane loves you, too, Tarzan. Mostly for your absurd abs.”

That is to say: the first images of Tarzan have been released, and they’re fairly standard, all except for the towering Swede’s abs, which look more like an exoskeleton than musculature. There’s also a gorilla and the aforementioned Robbie as Jane, love interest and beautiful embodiment of the so-called civilized world. Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, and Djimon Hounsou will also star. The film is being directed to David Yates, who also directed the last few Harry Potter films.

The plot, should it extend beyond the fact that Tarzan is sporting monstrous alien abs, involves Tar-tar returning to the jungle in order to investigate some shady dealings at a mining camp, probably because the miners are threatening the environment and his old friends and family, the similarly-muscular apes.
