Amazon Orders Eight New Series

Share:

Amazon is pushing its original content with a big series order for five fall pilots (and three children’s series), including the semi-autobiographical comedy One Mississippi, produced by Tig Notaro, Louis CK, and Diablo Cody (co-written by Notaro), and Sacha Baron Cohen’s Highston, about a 19-year-old who has celebrity friends that only he can see. This news follows Amazon’s renewal of existing shows, including the comedy Red Oaks, Hand of God, and the alt history/Philip K. Dick adaptation The Man in the High Castle.

Z: The Beginning of Everything, “a half-hour bio-series based on the life of Zelda Fitzgerald (Christina Ricci) and her passionate love affair with author F. Scott Fitzgerald (Gavin Stenhouse),” was picked up. Good Girls Revolt, Patriot, and the children’s series Danger & Eggs, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, and Niko and the Sword of Light join the bunch.
