i’d like money spent well on social projects too, but i was very glad for the end of the –every single building on earth must be a cheap, efficient, boring, ugly, utilitarian Mies knock off”– era, and lament the end of that end. guess i’m out on my own here, but i think standing under the point of liebskind’s denver art museum or within the upper expanse of the koolhaas seattle library is exhilarating and refreshing, wonderful and welcome. tearful goodbye to insane, adventurous architecture, you’ll be missed. but only by me apparently.

It is interesting… but no more… Actualy, I glad to see finish of development’s time in architecture… It was time of huge temptation for architects, now, we have possibility to be honesty and profesional.

There are Hancock Towers in both Boston and Chicago… and strangely enough, I think they both share suicidal window stories. But this article seems to be referring to the Boston case (follow link), which has nothing to do with Goldman Sachs. Though, it was an I.M. Pei project (of Pei Cobb Freed and Partners), so that’s pretty weird.

There’s some surprisingly dull work on view here, esp. the SFMOMA branch and Waterworld hotel.
Crystals seems pointlessly goofy.
