Watch Supermodel Kate Moss Swing a Lightbulb in Massive Attack’s New Video

Kate Moss, perhaps best known for being in the crop of supermodels that Linda Evangelista once said would “not get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day,” is the star of a new Massive Attack music video.

Though the pairing may seem slightly weird on paper, the effect is alluring on camera. (Not to mention, just last week, Naomi Campbell, also of that same aforementioned crop of supermodels, starred in a music video for Academy Award-nominee ANOHNI.)

The music video is for a new song called “Ritual Spirit,” featuring vocals from British singer-songwriter Azekel. The track is from the recent Ritual Spirit EP.

In a press release, group member 3D said:

Me and Kate have been friends for years, but had never collaborated, so last year we booked a studio with Medium and set up a shoot. During the session Kate was dancing in the dark, lighting herself with a naked bulb. She perfectly captured the essence of this track… intimate and ritualistic. We edited it back in Bristol to keep it raw with no re-touching, I didn’t want to lose the spirit of that moment.

Moss, a self-described “huge fan” of Massive Attack and a “friend for many years” to group member 3D had this to say about the video: “When he asked me to collaborate with him I didn’t have to think twice. I always thought their visuals were amazing and I was proud to be in this video.”
