HBO Offers Updates on the Much-Missed ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ and That ‘Deadwood’ Movie You’re Dying to See

HBO’s new programming president Casey Bloys gave hope to Deadwood and Curb Your Enthusiasm fans during the Television Critics Association press tour after offering an update about the popular series. The long-gestating Deadwood movie that seemed to be lost in development hell or forgotten isn’t dead. “[Deadwood creator] David [Milch] is writing the script,” Bloys said. “We haven’t read it yet. I imagine it will be very good.”

Regarding another cult favorite series, Bloys updated the audience about the recently announced ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which is slated for a 2017 premiere. “I imagine most of the cast will return,” Bloys stated. THR reports that the show will likely be a 10-episode run. Curmudgeonly creator Larry David responded to the news of Curb‘s return last month with: “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.’”

The updates were short, but sweet — and we think it all sounds pretty, pretty good.
