Michel Gondry’s ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ Being Rebooted for Television

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, written by Charlie Kaufman and directed by twee magician Michel Gondry, is being adapted for television according to the Hollywood Reporter. The small-screen reboot will be produced by Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin, who produced the original film. While the project is still in development, THR reports that Forever, Chuck scribe Zev Borow is in talks to write the script for the drama. True Detective executive producer Richard Brown is also part of the team. The original film centers around a troubled couple, played by Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, who turn to an unorthodox procedure to erase each other from their memories. The 2004 film won an Oscar for Best Writing, Original Screenplay.
