New York and Los Angeles Film Critics Circles Announce Award Winners

Aaaaaaaand they’re off folks — the 2017 Oscar contenders are charging out of the gate, starter pistol fired by the Gothams!

Aaaand there’s Moonlight in the lead, Moonlight charging ahead thanks to its early anointment by the Gothams, looks like an easy race for Moonlight, but wait, what’s that, it’s the National Board of Review Awards aaaaand look at that, it’s Manchester By the Sea charging ahead, Manchester by the Sea, ridden by Casey Affleck, Manchester By the Sea in the lead.

Hold on, hold on, the New York Film Critics Circle Awards have been announced, and we’ve got another horse charging into the lead, it’s La La Land!

La La Land leading the race, not just running the race but singing and dancing too, ridden by Isabelle Huppert, and it’s a three-way horse race folks, wait wait, Moonlight is back in the lead again, thanks to the Los Angeles Film Critics Circle Awards, Moonlight back in front, but with La La Land in firm second, Moonlight in the lead but that may not hold long, oh this is some race folks, a real nail-biter here…

(Because it’s like a horse race, you see.)
