Inspired by the Paris City Transit Autority ad from 2004 to the right, Dutch creative agency Ubachswisbrun JWT decided to leave empty cardboard boxes (that presumably once held MINI Coopers) around the streets of Amsterdam. As Creative Criminals points out, Heineken recently did something similar with faux walk-in fridge boxes. While we’re always fans of clever advertising, especially of the guerrilla variety, creating fake garbage can’t be good for the environment — or the guys who have to clean it up. And yet, it’s really fun to look at.

Someone left the price tag on the christmas presents. I hate it when that happens. And I bet the boxes will be a collectors item some time. Imagine your kids when you bring one of those home! Forget the cardboard castle!
