Photos of Larger-Than-Life Children’s Toys in the Wild

Vincent Bousserez is known for photographing miniatures. The artist continues playing with scale in his new series Nostalgies, which sets larger-than-life children’s toys against a striking landscape. We first spotted the images on Fubiz. Bousserez chooses nostalgic toys like a massive Rubik’s Cube and giant Slinky, which evokes memories and stories from our youth. The setting is dramatic, and the size of each plaything lends a humorous quality to the series. The artist experiments with scale to “break the distances,” physically and conceptually. Take a closer look at your favorite children’s toys scaled up in our gallery.
