Cool Art for Kids of All Ages From Gallery 1988’s ‘Mattel: The Joys of Toys’

A knockout gallery of visual art inspired by He-Man, She-Ra, Monster High, Barbie, and even the Magic 8-Ball.

We never really outgrow our toys – we just turn them into collector’s items, major motion pictures, and works of art. For the latter, we now turn to our friends at Gallery 1988, whose latest pop culture-obsessed exhibition focuses on the tiny toys of Mattel, with a knockout gallery of visual art inspired by He-Man, She-Ra, Monster High, Barbie, and even the Magic 8-Ball. The whole exhibit is on display at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles, but if you can’t make it, we’ve plucked out a few of our favorites.
