Evocative Illustrations of Satisfied Solitude

Share:

So, everybody make it through Valentine’s Day? Because it’s a trial – especially if you find yourself between partners. Then again, maybe you prefer it that way. We’re certainly reminded of the pleasures of solitude by these lovely illustrations by South Korean artist Aeppol, which we first saw on Bored Panda. She tells the site what inspired this series: “I wanted to find my own Wonderland in the bleak and stuffy city. The daily life of a little girl doing what she wanted to do in the blue and the wide woods gave me rest and joy. I want to continue to draw pictures of this little girl who is full of freedom, dream, innocence, and imagination.”

Some of our favorites are below; check out more of Aeppol’s work on her Instagram.
