What’s on at Flavorpill: Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we were sad to hear that Kathryn Grayson, who starred in some of favorite movie musicals, had died at 88. We stared at David Maisel’s lovely aerial photography and Baptiste Debombourg’s strange staple art. We watched Neko Case play “a Strawberry Shortcake pop princess that lives in a candy wonderland just outside of Detroit” in Adult Swim’s new series, Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge. (Did we mention that T-Pain was there too, and he’s playing a gingerbread man?) We couldn’t wait for Tina Fey to return to SNL — maybe it will help resuscitate this lackluster season. We wondered when 20/20 is going to do an expose on the dark underbelly of flitter parties. We made a mental note never to interview Dutch speedskater Sven Kramer — he’s way too hostile. We designed the ideal school lunch. We lost ourselves in the top 10 cinematic shots of 2009. And finally, we decided that we need to be happier. Because we don’t want to die a sad, early death.
