Sage Grazer, daughter of Academy Award-winning producer Brian and a photography student at NYU, is currently showing a series of portraits snapped in the glow of a television set as part of Theurgy, a new exhibition which opened last night at Elga Wimmer on West 26th Street. Per the press release: “The images each represent a private spontaneous moment in time while playing with the use of an unconventional portraiture light source and notions of voyeurism. The 20”x30” photographs are presented on light boxes, furthering the effect of the emanating screen illumination.” Funny.
