By Oscar rules, Let The Right One In wasn't eligible this year. Next year, that is if Sweden actually selects it as its nation official entry

Let the Right One In came out too late (October in Sweden) to qualify as Sweden's official Oscar entry. It's eligible next year!

As usual only the best original screenplay category gets it right. Seriously, Wall-E deserves a best pic nod, it's both a throwback to the original days of cinema–relying more on visual storytelling than dialogue–and a marvel of cg. Then again the Oscars have always been dominated by Hollywood house-wives, so if you want to win your pool this year, remind yourself to think like one.
