Wet Hot American Summer star and co-writer Michael Showalter made an appearance on Geeking Out with Kerri Doherty and revealed that a prequel to the 2001 cult movie is still happening. The film co-starred an A-list of comedic, popular names (Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Michael Ian Black, Paul Rudd, Christopher Meloni, Molly Shannon, Ken Marino, Joe Lo Truglio, Amy Poehler, Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper), and we’d love to see them back for more summer camp hijinks. Showalter indicated that the follow-up would be set six months to a year prior to the original story, but everyone would be ten years older. Ok, then. Watch the full interview, above.
