AIDS activist, and co-founder of ACT-UP and TAG (Treatment Action Group), Spencer Cox, has died at 44. He was featured in David France’s recent documentary, How to Survive a Plague, centered on Cox’s innovative coalitions. The above video is an outtake from the movie and Cox’s last interview with France. In a final blog entry, Cox wrote: “If I have one piece of advice for young, aspiring activists, it is to always hold on to the joy, always make it fun. If you lose that, you have lost the whole battle.” [via EW]
