In its third year, New York’s Governors Ball — which now takes place at Randall’s Island Park — seems to be angling to compete with mega-festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza. This year’s festival, which will take place June 7th through 9th, features some startlingly big names, from Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar to Animal Collective and Feist. Yes, one night is headlined by Kings of Leon and the third headliner has yet to be announced, but the long list of inspired bookings should be enough to get New Yorkers excited. Early bird tickets will be available Friday for $190 at govball.com.
