If you know anything at all about the Anne of Green Gables books, then you’re probably aware that their heroine is a somewhat awkward, freckly redhead who agonizes over her appearance. Well, apparently the teenage character isn’t the only one who thinks she could use a makeover. The cover of a new edition that includes three books from the series, published by the eminently legit-sounding CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, features a pretty, blonde Anne Shirley giving readers what can only be described as a come-hither stare. As HuffPost Canada noted, Amazon reviewers are not happy.
