It doesn’t even have a name yet, let alone a release date for its album, but the newly announced band whose roster boasts Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, and Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin is set to dominate the Generation X demographic by the power of name recognition alone. McCready and Martin have previously worked together on mid-’90s supergroup Mad Season, which is set to re-release its LP Above this April, and McKagan and Martin are currently involved in Walking Papers, which debuted with a self-titled album in 2012. The supergroup is currently recruiting singers in anticipation of recording, but until then, feel free to indulge in some gratuitous grunge-era nostalgia (Singles soundtrack, anyone?).
