BBC America has been really into nineteenth century law enforcement lately. Right on the heels of this fall’s Copper, the network has released a three-minute sneak peek of Ripper Street, which follows East London’s H Division, headed by Edmund Reid (Matthew McFayden), in the months after the 1889 Jack the Ripper killings. Based on the clip, there’ll be lots of Cockney accents and earnest young heroes.
