Architectural firm Foster + Partners has unveiled plans for a four-person moon base constructed partially using materials produced on-site using a 3-D printer. In collaboration with the European Space Agency, the project is currently in testing and will tentatively be located on the moon’s south pole. Who said space exploration is dead? [via Inhabitat]
