A major act that hasn’t released new music in eight years has switched record labels, and we all know what that means — everyone’s favorite French techno duo is releasing new material! Daft Punk, the helmet-sporting, Tron-loving group made up of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, has left EMI for Sony’s Columbia records, meaning that a fourth full-length album (the first since Human After All ) is definitely, positively happening. There’s no date yet, but it could be out as soon as this spring. [via THR]
