Gillian Anderson Returns to American Television in ‘Hannibal’

If you recently remembered how much you love X-Files star Gillian Anderson while watching her play Miss Havisham in the Great Expectations television series, or you’ve been praying that the BBC will release British crime-drama series The Fall  in the US, then we have good news. EW is reporting that the actress has been cast in Bryan Fuller’s upcoming NBC series, Hannibal — based on the set of novels by Thomas Harris that became popular horror-thrillers. She’ll appear in a multi-episode arc as the personal psychiatrist of Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) — a convicted cannibal who toys with the minds of all around him. Dark and exciting stuff!
