Jeffrey Tambor is about to become the king of online TV. Not only will we soon see him reprise his role as Arrested Development‘s George Bluth Sr. (a.k.a. Pop-pop), but Deadline reports that he’s just signed on to star in The Onion’s new Amazon Studios series. The scripted comedy The Onion Presents: The News will follow the cutthroat antics of The Onion News Network’s competitive staff, as an aging anchor who feels threatened by a young upstart. Hey, it’s got to be better than The Newsroom, right?
