Kanye West Announces New Album Title, ‘So Help Me God’

So-Help-Me-God

Kanye West announced the title of his new album, So Help Me God, on Twitter in the wee hours of the morning. Accompanying the announcement was an image of a 13-century monastic symbol representing the Virgin Mary, according to Stereogum. Kanye recently celebrated the debut of his adidas Yeezy line during New York Fashion Week. Earlier in the week, West took to Twitter to apologize to Beck for his comments after the performer won a Grammy for Album of the Year. West told Beck “to respect artistry” and hand his award over to Beyoncé. Bruno Mars also got a public apology. Neither artist has commented. West recently performed “Wolves,” one of the tracks from So Help Me God, during Saturday Night Live‘s endless 40th-anniversary celebration with Sia and Vic Mensa — all while crawling and crouching on the floor. Other tracks from So Help Me God that have debuted include “All Day” and “Only One” (with Paul McCartney).
