As Pitchfork reports, Iron & Wine have returned with a new album, Ghost on Ghost, to be released on April 16 in the US. The announcement comes with a new song from the album, “Lovers’ Revolution,” which suggests an upbeat yet chilled follow-up to 2011’s Kiss Each Other Clean. The collaboration-heavy Ghost on Ghost will feature the likes of Tin Hat Trio’s Rob Burget, Steve Bernstein, Tony Scherr, Antony and the Johnsons’ Maxim Moston and Doug Wieselman, and Anja Wood, among others. Iron & Wine plan to tour throughout 2013, with dates to be announced.
