Freak folk fans, rejoice. After nearly a year of silence, CocoRosie has announced Tales of a Grass Widow, their first full-length album since 2010′s Grey Oceans, due out May 27 in the UK and May 28th stateside. The band has also released the first single from the album, “Gravediggress,” which The Guardian reports “is an imagined conversation between an abandoned child and an outcast old woman.” They also call it “Timbaland-esque.” Perhaps — as for us, we don’t think CocoRosie can sound like anything but themselves, but that’s an epically good thing, especially when they keep on sounding like this.
