The U.K. Gold is a documentary similar to Inside Job: one that investigates and uncovers a corporate-level monetary fraud that will, most likely, never be upended.
As if that doesn’t sound like enough to make you anxious beyond belief, its soundtrack was composed by Thom Yorke, Johnny Greenwood, Massive Attack’s Robert Del Ninja, and Elbow’s Guy Garvey. It’s a mess of electronic thrums and blaps, set at a pace to either signal foreboding or invoke anxiety. Or, perhaps more fitting, the sound of massive amounts of money being sucked from national coffers as international businessmen throw it around in rooms full of silver and gold.
The whole soundtrack is streaming on Soundcloud, and should make for a delightful score to your hump-day.
