Louis C.K.’s CG-Animated Talking-Pet Movie Gets a Title and Release Date

What with writing, directing, editing and starring in an entire series, it’s hard to imagine that Louis C.K. would have the free time to do anything — let alone explore fantastical and futile ideas like the secret life of pets. But as the just-announced title of his upcoming film — The Secret Life of Pets — would suggest, he does! The movie, written by Cinco Paul and Ken Dauri, of Despicable Me, sounds a bit like Toy Story, though somehow more feasible: it’s about what pets do when their owners leave the house. C.K. will star alongside Kevin Hart, and Ellie Kemper, Hannibal Buress, Lake Bell, Bobby Moynihan, and Albert Brooks are also attached to the project. A little fact that might make this more of a draw: Hart will play the above-pictured rabbit, with whom you can become acquainted on July 8, 2016. [Via A.V. Club]
