“Nirvana” Records Video for Virginia Tech Homecoming

Yesterday, venerable indie label Sub Pop posted a letter on their Tumblr from a Virginia Tech student. It was an odd request: the student hoped that Nirvana could record a video giving the university students a friendly shout-out for this year’s homecoming festivities. Even though the majority of college students were born in the early ’90s, it’s still a little disconcerting that this student in particular wasn’t aware that Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain died in 1994. Still, the folks at Sub Pop don’t want to disappoint the fans, so they recorded this video as “Nirvana.” Go Hoagies!
