Oh Look, The Golden Globes Got Some Things Right! Here Are the Winners

trans

This year’s Golden Globes were wonderfully unpredictable; it was not, however, an arbitrary unpredictability. A great deal of the awards actually seemed valid this year, and surprised in a delightful — rather than infuriating — way. Newcomers most didn’t think would get the attention they deserved dominated in television categories, with wins for Fargo (which, to the dismay of many, meant loses for True Detective), Transparent and Jane the Virgin, while Richard Linklater’s 12 years of filming were honored with Best Picture, Best Director (Patricia Arquette’s 12 years of acting were likewise honored).
