British morning talkshow Daybreak, which seems like a snarkier version of The Today Show, aired a short trailer for the upcoming One Direction documentary this morning. Called 1D3D, the trailer makes the movie seem like a fairly standard behind-the-scenes tour stuff a la Katy Perry’s Part of Me, but there’s a twist: it’s directed by Morgan Spurlock, the gonzo documentarian behind Super Size Me and The Greatest Movie Ever Sold. The unorthodox choice hints that there may be more to 1D3D than screaming fans and softball interviews — not that we’d complain about a few more glamour shots of Zayn Malik’s jawline.
