Excited for that Muppets sequel? Last week Modern Family‘s Ty Burrell hopped on board, and now Huffington Post is reporting that Ricky Gervais is in talks to play one of the human leads. After the gang attempted to save their theater from a villainous oil tycoon, part two will see them jet to Europe where they encounter a “lazy Interpol inspector (Burrell).” Gervais’ part is being compared to Segel’s in the 2011 film (he won’t be returning to the movie). Don’t forget that The Office actor also shot a cameo for the first movie, but the scene was left on the cutting room floor.
