Ronald Reagan’s Daughter Patti Davis to Self-Publish “Lesbian-Themed” Novel

Following in the footsteps of David Mamet and other self-sufficient authors, writer and actress (and daughter of Ronald and Nancy Reagan) Patti Davis will self-publish a paperback edition of her novel, Till Human Voices Wake Us via Amazon’s CreateSpace. Davis’ novel focuses on the story of a mother who, as she mourns the death of son, discovers her sexuality, falling for her sister-in-law. According to a Publisher’s Weekly report, Till Human Voices Wake Us will be Davis’s first in a trilogy of self-published books. “I find myself in the same situation many authors do these days,” Davis posted on her novel’s page on Amazon. “Getting publishers to say yes is really hard. Particularly with fiction. So I’ve dipped my toe into self-publishing.”
