Since Shia LaBeouf doesn’t want to be a blockbuster movie star anymore, he’s heading to Broadway with Alec Baldwin for a production of Lyle Kessler’s Orphans. The 30 Rock actor will play a wealthy father figure to LaBeouf’s troubled orphaned (he kidnaps the older man). Baldwin’s appeared on stage before, but this is LaBeouf’s debut moment with no giant robots to distract us from his performance. Previews for the Daniel Sullivan-directed production begin March 19, with opening night set for April 7. [via EW]
