Team Laika, the studio behind the surprisingly winning ParaNorman, has cast A-list British comedy talent Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as the leads in The Boxtrolls, a stop-motion animated adaptation of Alan Snow’s Here Be Monsters! The cast also includes Sir Ben Kingsley, Lane Pryce Jared Harris, and Richard Ayoade, the popular British comedian introduced to mainstream American audiences in 2012′s The Watch. According to Laika president and CEO Travis Knight, The Boxtrolls is an ambitious-sounding “mash-up of gripping detective story, absurdist comedy and steampunk adventure.” But will there be romance?! [via Digital Spy]
