We’re just a few months away from Austin’s South by Southwest (SXSW) festival, and organizers announced today that Las Vegas magician tale, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, is opening the event. The Steve Carell, Steve Buscemi, and Jim Carrey film finds feuding acts trying to top one another and get their old mojo back. Mr. Popper’s Penguins was the last feature for veteran comedian Carrey, which Roger Ebert called a “stupefying dumb family movie.” Hopefully he fares better this time around. The complete festival lineup will be announced on January 31, with additional programs to follow, but we do know that the Evil Dead remake and Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers are amongst the films recently added. SXSW runs March 8 to March 17. [via Screen Daily]
