The Greatest Jonathan Franzen Story Ever Told?

Jesse Montgomery at Full Stop may have written the most entertaining account of seeing one of America’s most famous authors in action after witnessing “one of the millions of male North American humans who look like Jonathan Franzen approaching the circulation desk” who, in fact, was Jonathan Franzen trying to “fleece the young desk attendant” at the UC Santa Cruz’s McHenry Library.

Being the benevolent folks that they are, the editors at Full Stop have offered Franzen a “generous opportunity to clear his name” by taking part in “a redemptive birdwatching trek through the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains,” since J-Franz is so into spying on feathered friends.

Read the whole account, and if you know how to get in touch with Mr. Franzen, please let him know this is a serious matter.
