The New ‘Gone Girl?’ Watch Trailer For Gillian Flynn Adaptation ‘Dark Places’

Had your fill of Gillian Flynn’s dark and twisty mysteries after the success of Gone Girl the book and Gone Girl, the Ben Affleck’s penis-featuring, David Fincher-directed, Oscar nominated film? Well, Hollywood has the solution for you: all of her books are currently in process as film and television series, and we got our peek of the next one today, with the international trailer for Dark Places.

Starring an all-star cast of Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Christina Hendricks, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Corey Stoll, the film is about Libby Day (Theron), a young woman who survived the brutal slaughter of her family — only to finger her brother as the killer — who is pulled back into her past when she falls in with the “Kill Club,” a group of nerds obsessed with notorious crimes. Directed by French helmer Gilles Paquet-Brenner, the film is already veering away from the source by casting the statuesque Theron as itsy bitsy Libby. It doesn’t have a release date in the U.S. yet, but considering the heavyweights behind it, we’ll see it sometime in 2015:
