The creators of South Park and The Book of Mormon are branching out on their own, founding the humbly titled Important Studios as a venue for the duo’s future creative efforts. The New York Times reports that a movie adaptation of Tony magnet Book of Mormon may be in the works, with the help of Important Studios’ most prominent investor, financier Joseph Ravitch. Armed with greater creative control over their work and enormous popularity, Parker and Stone can continue to shock audiences worldwide with their signature blend of no-holds-barred potty humor and spot-on satire.
