John Kahrs’ debut short “Paperman,” which screened with Wreck-It Ralph in theaters, tells the story of “a lonely young man in mid-century New York City, whose destiny takes an unexpected turn after a chance meeting with a beautiful woman on his morning commute.” The black and white film marks the first time both computer-generated and hand-drawn animation techniques have been used to create the same character. What do you think of the resulting effect?
