Watch Michael Cera Creep Out Juno Temple in the ‘Magic Magic’ Trailer

The Michael Cera comeback continues with Magic Magic, one of two films he made in collaboration with Chilean filmmaker Sebastian Silva, both of which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Magic Magic also played at Cannes, though it was apparently unable to find U.S. theatrical distribution; the film’s first trailer is for its August DVD release. And while straight-to-DVD doesn’t always equal cinematic brilliance, this looks like a creepily effective thriller with a helluva cast: the wonderful Juno Temple, Maria Full of Grace’s Oscar-nominated Catalina Sandino Moreno, Sucker Punch’s Emily Browning, and Cera doing his first full-throated psycho turn (if you don’t count his work as “young Chuck” in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind).
