This morning, we stumbled across this delightful footage of acclaimed Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo and her painter husband, Diego Rivera. The film was shot at the Blue House, the couple’s distinctly colored abode in Mexico’s Coyoacán borough, where they resided in 1904, now a museum dedicated to Kahlo. As expected of two artists living together, the married couple had a tumultuous relationship, and Kahlo took a lover, the photographer, Nickolas Muray. Still, Kahlo’s heart belonged to Rivera. This video, which shows the doting couple, captures their happier times. [via Open Culture]
