This writer realized this morning that she flat-out forgot to fill out her Village Voice Pazz & Jop poll — which is a shame, because I would have been only the second voter to include U.S. Girls’ excellent, underrated 2012 album Gem. If you haven’t dipped into it yet, the new video for “Work from Home” (its title a concept that’s rather close to our hearts) is a great introduction to Megan Remy’s grungy, lo-fi glam aesthetic.
