The Hollywood Reporter has gotten word that The Master star Joaquin Phoenix is in talks to reunite with Paul Thomas Anderson for Inherent Vice, the film adaptation of the acclaimed Thomas Pynchon novel from 2009. Working off the original novel, Anderson has written the screenplay for Inherent Vice himself. Set in late-1960s LA, the film revolves around a detective working on an abduction case, and is tipped for a 2014 release.
