The Best and Worst of Last Night’s ‘SNL’ with Anna Faris

1

Last night on Saturday Night Live, Anna Faris dressed up like Sailor Moon, Drake (barely) reverted back to his acting roots, and Nicki Minaj made a surprise appearance in a very sexy leotard. We happen to love all three of the celebrity guests, particularly Anna Faris, and accordingly, this may be our favorite episode thus far this season. That’s not to say there weren’t some pretty low moments, of course. Click through to see our picks for best and worst skits of the night, and let us know what made you laugh (or cringe uncontrollably) in the comments.

What’s On at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

1

Today at Flavorpill, we decided that any iPhone app that can save your life is probably worth downloading. We were a little disturbed by the Photoshop fun happening in Newsweek’s “Diana at 50″ cover. We could barely recognize Anna Faris as a cropped brunette. We drooled over Curbed NY’s roundup of the 10 most valuable mansions in New York City, a list topped by an apartment once owned by Woody Allen. We met some famous high school dropouts. We learned the origin story behind plastic pink flamingos. We saw what gnarly damage obsessive video game playing can do to your hands. We wondered what really happens when you feed babies 7up. We watched the Season 7 premiere of Weeds, which Showtime is streaming for free a few days early. We got a little too excited over a new set of Forever Stamps dedicated to 12 pioneers of American industrial design. And finally, we read The Guardian‘s new interview with Prince in which he compares the Internet to a carjacking.

As we’ve told you before, there’s an upcoming live action/CG-animated Yogi Bear movie currently in the works. In negotiations to star are Dan Aykroyd (to play the voice of Yogi), Justin Timberlake (Boo-Boo), and Anna Faris, who would play a nature documentarian following the bears for her latest project. Then there’s T.J. Miller. He wants the part of Ranger Jones, and decided to bring a bear along on his audition to give the director context.
