The history of Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome is a bit dizzying, but EW has announced that the Michael Taylor, David Eick, Bradley Thompson and David Weddle-written saga that follows a young William Adama during the first Cylon war will finally premiere online, November 9.

The story was being developed as a full-length Syfy series — with makers even producing a pilot episode — but B&C has found a home on the web. Luke Pasqualino (UK’s Skins) will star as the ambitious Galactica pilot, who finds himself at odds with weary co-captain Coker (Ben Cotton, Alcatraz). “Like Starz’ Spartacus, the series uses ‘virtual set’ CGI technology that adds more expansive and spectacular backdrops than possible in a convention production,” EW advises.

The prequel movie will air as ten, 7-12-minute episodes on YouTube over the span of four weeks.
