Awesome Maps of Iconic Pop Culture Locations

If you hadn’t noticed, we’re pop culture geeks here at Flavorwire, and we’re also really rather partial to cartography. As such, we emitted collective “OMG” when we saw these awesome prints of maps from prominent locations in films, video games, TV shows, and comic books. Shigeru Miyamoto (who is profiled in this week’s New Yorker) created Mario, Luigi, and the rest of the Super Mario Bros. gang way back in 1985. While the classic characters, secure in their fantastic, colorful land of spiked turtles and distressed princesses, hold up pretty well, there’s no harm in looking at what it would be like if Mario and Luigi lived in a world that was more along the lines of Grand Theft Auto.
